Reconciling Faith and Gender: Cultural and Spiritual Coping Mechanisms of Muslim Transgender Individuals in Karachi
Description
This project aimed to understand how Muslim transgender individuals living in Karachi reconcile their Muslim identity with their transgender identity while navigating survival within a hyper-Islamized society. I took up this project in hopes of spreading awareness about the transgender community and shedding light on their daily struggles.
